SENSITIVITY
The sensitivity of a fishing rod to detect a bite is influenced by its weight. A lighter rod will transmit a bite from the tip to the handle more effectively than a heavier rod, allowing for QUICKER and more PRONOUNCED detection. This is because less weight on the complete rod means less resistance to the transmission of the bite signal.
A bite has to travel from the rod tip into the blank handle and explode into the handle. the more material in the handle the less explosion of a bite. these rods have a hollow handle and the walls of the handle are only .10 inch thick so the slightest bites feel violent. less materials and weight = more sensitive.
BALANCE
Due to the extremely light handle of the rod if you pick up the rod without a reel you’ll feel it to be unbalanced. the nice thing about these rods is as soon as you put a reel into our carbon fiber slip rings you can lock in the balance in seconds and have a perfectly balanced rod in your hand.
